Lovely hotel, I had a lovely welcome by the owner, very friendly and attentive. Very clean, great location, I had a beautiful view from the large windows in my room. Comfortable bed. I will definitely visit again.
Just spent a great couple of days at The Rock. We were really well looked after by Jan and Barry. The breakfast is really good.
I needed a last minute booking so called up and they were super helpful and accommodating. When I turned up it was like being welcomed by family. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. I would 100% recommended The Rock Hotel if you are visiting the area
Simply we loved the hospitality and the room. We had the top floor penthouse with sea view. It's the last hotel in Frinton. Hopefully it will stay there for a while!
Four of us, two couples, stayed here last night and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Very large clean rooms with views to the sea. And a well cooked breakfast. All you need to set yourself up for a long day's hiking. The building is very interesting; and reminded us of something from the Miss Marple era.
I haven't stayed at the rock as I live in Frinton and kitesurf just outside but I have the pleasure of chatting with the people running it daily in the summer. Lovely atmosphere and lovely people.
This hotel is a step back in time and if you embrace that it’s a fabulous place to stay when visiting Frinton. Right on the sea front yards from the golf club and the coastal path is just across the road. Fantastic breakfast.
Lovely anniversary weekend away in our favourite town. If you are looking for the warmest of welcomes, fantastic food and some of the best sea views in Frinton, this is definitely the place to stay. The fact that you are staying in a house steeped in history and with unique vintage charm, is absolutely the icing on the Cake. We have come home feeling as if we spent the weekend with family & are looking forward to going back as soon as we can. Thank you so much Jan, Barry & of course Teddy, hopefully see you again in the summer x (If you prefer somewhere modern, generic & soul less - I suggest you go to the nearest Premier Inn, but you will definitely be missing out!)
